There are plenty of solutions for those who are bothered by the appearance of pimples or acne scars that can help your reduce their visibility. Below you are going to read about one of the best remedies available today. Several people that we know, including myself, have tested this method with good results. The name of this treatment is “the salt water method”, sea salt to be more specific.

I have personally tried many different kinds of beauty creams, facial cleansers, and acne treatment products but then I came upon this idea. The salt water does not affect the skin but targets the acne directly so there is no need to worry about side effects.

One you must remember is the type of salt water you are going to be using, do not use ocean water which could contain contaminants and make your acne worse. If you are near an ocean and want a more earthly solution, you can use that water but be sure you do so about seven days after any heavy rains. Follow these steps carefully:

1. Use clean ocean water or mix water with a couple table spoons of sea salt in a bowl.

2. Take a cotton ball and dip it in the mixture for about one minute.

3. Squeeze the cotton ball until it is not dripping but damp.

4. Put the cotton ball on your targeted pimple and keep it there for exactly 3 minutes.

5. Apply honey to the infected area and go to sleep.

It worked like magic for me and it might very well work for you too! It is a very simple treatment and can work within hours. You will also see progress in your skin tone.

Acne is not a life-long skin disease and you do not have to worry about, it will eventually go away on its own. Most topical acne treatment products contain salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, or sulfur in the active ingredients. Some products might contain harsher chemicals or more gentle botanical ingredients. Most topical acne products work by killing the bacteria that causes it. They not only kill the bacteria but also help clear up the pores on the infected area.

The most essential acne products that you should have is a facial cleanser, acne gel or cream, toner, and moisturizer.

There are various types of skin and yours might be oily or dry. Oily skin tends to attract more dirt and excessive dead skin cells that can clog the pores, so it would be wise to wash your face a lot and use a moisturizer so it does not dry up.

In addition to the topical acne treatments, there are also oral medications which you can take to treat acne. These medicines also help to detoxify your body which will lead to less acne breakouts.

Understanding all this information about acne can help you choose the right products for you. Just be sure to read as much as you can to make a well educated decision and you will save yourself a lot of time and money.
