There are a number of different homemade acne treatments that you can do to ensure that you are doing everything possible to solve your acne problem. Many dermatologists will recommend that the best treatment for your acne is to keep your face clean, eat a proper diet, and drink plenty of water. Some of the commercial acne products out on the market today contain chemicals that might be too harsh and do more harm than good to people with sensitive skin, but luckily there a number of natual homemade acne treatments. Lets move on to the first homemade acne treatment on our list.
1. Try a fruit only diet for at least one week by eating only fresh fruits such as mangos, pears, pineapple, apricot, papaya, olives, grapefruit, etc… The diet has to consist of non-citrus fruits only. One idea could be to try this week long diet at least once a month and see what happens.
2. Reduce or stop your consumption of dairy products such as butter, cheese, ice cream, margarine, milk, etc… These types of foods can induce acne outbreaks due to their high fat content. The same rule applies to junk food and carbonated beverages.
3. Try out an “oatmeal mask”. Just mix plain oatmeal along with water until you get a paste that is thick in consistency. Put this stuff on your face and leave it alone for about 15 to 20 minutes and then rinse it off. Repeat this in the morning and evening before bed.
4. Apply a mixture of rose water and lime juice, or groundnut oil and lime juice, or cinnamon powder and lime juice on the acne infected areas. These treatments can be very effective.
Many people turn to natural homemade treatments for many different ailments nowadays. Some people have very sensitive skin so they have no choice but to look elsewhere to treat their acne naturally, as those treatments are less harsh.
